Life's a Stitch

And more recently life’s a creative adventure with some travel thrown in.

That last post seemed to leave you relatively speechless. Is it the crocheting? Or did I offend you with my boy comment from the previous post? Is it those time suckers, AKA Ravelry or Facebook? Maybe I haven't been a good commenter myself.  Really though, it looks pretty slow in blogland, even the Harlot only had 54 comments so far today. I hope you are spending your time in fruitful knitting.

Back to the crocheting. I'm finding the knitting hard on my still braced (from its Hana, Hawaii hiking accident) wrist, so I'll warn you in advance. There's another Crescent Moon Scarf in the works. A blue moon.

And regarding the boy comment, Chuck and I have come up with our own version. We've known each other now for over 30 years. Recently we were asked about an event of our long ago and far away past. He started the story and I filled in the blanks. We agreed the details were pretty accurate. Relating it to the boy thing, our version is: one spouse – half a memory, two spouses – one memory. Works for us.

Must be blogland being forgotten by all the other social networks. I find there really aren’t many knitting blogs very active these days. I have not been as active myself. Less knitting going on here, so not much to blog about.

I’m still blogging and commenting but I don’t get the volume of comments I used to get either. I know I still have a lot of readers but they are much more quiet than in the past.

Please know that I am always reading every one of your posts even if I don’t comment. I don’t always have something to say. My husband would find that funny. I love to crochet also. I have been crocheting for many years longer than knitting. I love them equally, almost. 🙂

Ij ust simply haven’t had time to read blogs, write my blog, read ravlery, etc. Its been an insane couple of weeks. I think this next week will be more quiet. I hope, I’m exhausted!

I love your blog, even if I don’t love crochet and I don’t always comment. I am resorting to needlepoint as plan B for a sore hand.

I love your blog and have been reading for a long time. I am a crochet person and my sister a knitter says that what I do does not take a lot of skill. I truly believe that we are equal. Regarding your article on the two boys, I sent it to both of my adult sons and they got a good chuckle out of it. keep up the good work and I will keep reading.

Love the beatiful scarves. We have been busy digging out of endless snow storms here. I do go to Facebook more often but I CHECK YOUR BLOG quite often. I love your blog. How was your vacation for a week in Washington?

I find myself reading all my usual blogs, but unable to come up with any witty comments. Must be all the rain making my brain moldy. However, I am so with you on both the boy and spouse comments.

Don’t know why the word You was on my last post but I fixed it. The computer was going a little slow that day so it must have picked up some text I was typing. More snow is on the way Tuesday and Wednesday. Jamie had a car accident that wasn’t his fault (according to our insurance company) but it was $5,000. worth of damage. He has a 2001 or 2002 Lexis with 104,000 miles. They can go to much higher mileage I have heard.
It has been constant phone calls etc. to get this car fixed. I am taking it in Monday. It has been a 3 ring circus as our back up car (Nonna’s Honda) the battery has died. Never a dull moment in this house.

The “two boys” comment cracked me up, too. I’m with Dorothy, I mostly can’t think of anything very witty to say.

I’m just catching up on my blog reading for the past couple of weeks! Loved the scarf… it’s a terrific use of Noro’s long color runs.

About the Boy comment….No surprise here!!! We talked on the phone about Boys! They do mature eventually but it takes a little longer!!!
Did you read on Facebook that Jon and Maura are moving to Maine? Maybe she sent you an e-mail about it. If not you can read my

Reading blogs while inhaling lunch at my desk these days – work is my life this month. Well that, and answering questions for the fella planning our trip to Hawaii. Yes, staying on the beach is fine. No, I don’t mind if we can only sit across from each other on the plane – just get me there!!!

That was some fall in HI; I didn’t realize you were still experiencing the after effects. I like the spouse/brain comment, though in our case my brain seems to be deteriorating at a faster rate than my husband’s.
Facebook Schmacebook. I’ll stick with blogs.

Hoping your wrist is better soon!
I’m trying to brush up on my crocheting. I always forget how many times I need to yarn over and how many loops to pull each loop through for each stitch. For some reason, I never learned the art of reading crochet patterns either.
I have a cousin who crochets all the time. She’s supposed to help me decifer some patterns I like.
Looking forward to seeing the Blue Moon!
