Life's a Stitch

And more recently life’s a creative adventure with some travel thrown in.

Poor Ms.Grace had her eyelid surgery, I've never heard this tough little Scottswoman cry until she was reduced to wearing a cone. She whimpered for a solid hour until she found an acceptable sleeping position.

This has been a hell of a week with 13 hour days at work (major proposal writing deadlines), Gracee's operation and no time for knitting.

I drowned my sorrows in cooking:

Did the cooking and retail therapy work? What did Ms. Grace get to drown her sorrows? Poor baby!

Poor Gracee! It will be OK. I always felt guilty for giggling whenever our dogs were coneheads and bumping into everything, like watching slapstick.

the foodie in me is screaming “what’s in the pot????”
pumpkin was a conehead cat when she had her “girl surgery” and that’s how I knew she could meow. It would echo around in the cone… poor thing. It was only 3 days, but she was v.v. happy to get that thing off!

What’s in the cooking pot? It looks like something rolled in cabbage leaves, YUM!

If you’re making cabbage rolls, I’d like you to drown me in your sorrows. We are a family that owns its own Elizabethan collar. Carly settles if I just sit on the floor with her.

For a second there, my poor tired brain saw Grace’s head in the pot. Hope things get better. Yarn always helps.

Our felines always hated the ‘conehead’ experience. Hope Gracee is on the mend soon. Now, about that pot… looks delish, but you didn’t mention what was in it…

Abbie sends her sympathy for poor Gracie. She, too, had to recently wear the dreaded Cone of Shame and Misery and hopes gracie is already out of hers (by the time you get this response).
