Really, who needs to knit when there are skeins of yarn this beautiful? This is Valley Yarn's Kangaroo Dyer Franklin yarn in the Pine cone colourway. More beautiful booty from the second blog contest in a row that I won last month:

Lovely Erika, from Knitting at Pantheon Acres, sent the following prize for winning her lucky comment contest:

No kidding, I had the thought last month that I hadn't won a blog contest in a long time, entered three and won all three. Aren't knit bloggers wonderful? I feel like a spoiled brat. Or maybe I should be buying lottery tickets. Or maybe I should be hosting a contest. Stay tuned, cause I missed my fourth blogging anniversary last week, and will be hosting a contest in celebration.

Triple lucky you! I guess I should enter more contests if I want a chance at winning anything.

Hi! I hadn’t made it over to your blog yet to tell you I had started back up.
Its so true about skiens of yarn, actually sometimes I disappointed after I knit a beautiful skein up because it looses that gorgeous factor. Sometimes.

I’m soooo glad that you like the yarn. I searched all of Stitches Midwest trying to find the right colorway. 😀

I seem to win contests in spurts, winning two or three and then nothing for a really long time. I am currently in a dry spell. I am going to be giving away some yarn soon, so maybe the will bring back the winning mojo my way.

I would definitely be buying lottery tickets. Isn’t it fun being spoiled?! 🙂

Pretty pretty! And a prize, too. (Or should that be “a prize, three”?) Congrats on your win. I won a prize drawing last year (my only win so far) in a rather large drawing, but the donor never sent the prize. Then she changed her website to eliminate all mention of having made or promosed to donate the item. And she never returned my query about it. Guess she couldn’t part with it after all, huh? Ah, well, c’est la vie.

That is some gorgeous yarn. Is it fingering? Cause if it is, I know the perfect scarf project for it.
