Life's a Stitch

And more recently life’s a creative adventure with some travel thrown in.

Just like a deep tissue massage, sometimes frogging just hurts so good. It seems I’m not alone. Donna has some lovely yarn that is destined to stay a center pull skein, Beth is turning pools of colours into a frog pond, and Blogless Marsha pulled out her hair swing sweater because some unreliable nasty knitter I dissuaded her from swatching. Meet my Sirdar Denim Ultra cardigan. Notice that all but one skein are re-wound:

At least my Midwest Moonlight scarf made it through unscathed and is happily blocking on an old Barney towel. Wet cotton does nothing for its beautiful colours.

Although I got lots of good suggestions for my pooling issue, I decided to step back from that yarn for a bit and knit something else. Now if only I could stop frogging that one…

    Your scarf is pretty!
I’m going to be in Vancouver for a couple of days next week, could you recommend a few good yarn stores to visit in the downtown area or possibly North Van?

I’m not much of a scarf knitter but think I’ll have to buy Scarf Style. Midnight Madness is beautiful.

Groan! I’ve done nothing but sewing the last two days. You have no idea for how long i’ve been wanting to knit a scarf with this stitch pattern! Sigh! It’s all too much. It looks lovely! I LOVE frogging!

I love your scarf! That pattern has been calling to me since the first time I saw it!
My ball of yarn is very slowly becoming a shawl again. May we all be happily knitting along on our projects soon and find success!! 🙂

I haven’t been able to keep with anyone over the last couple of weeks. I’m back and just looked at all your posts I missed. So much to comment on. Your PrintOtheWave stole is looking fantastic. You teach entrelac? Too cool, I just did a couple of dishcloths – so much fun. The Midwest Moonlight scarf is beautiful.
    Hope all is well.
