Life's a Stitch

And more recently life’s a creative adventure with some travel thrown in.

We’re away for the post wedding week without a computer or camera; just good company, fun and lots of knitting happening. Here are some of the highlights and lows of the past week:

Highs: A super composed, articulate bride; beautiful wedding day weather; a brunch reception like no other; being surrounded by friends and family from far and wide; so much laughter my sister was in pain (I mean that with good intentions); a surprise extreme bathroom makeover in a scottie theme (thank you, Ellen and Greg); teaching my sister to knit.

Lows: Dropping my camera the night before the wedding and cracking the LCD screen; the dishwasher breaking with 17 guests; no water in the house for the day after the wedding; two special guests not being able to attend due to serious health matters; Gracee being sprayed by that skunk again the night of the wedding.

I know I’m leaving out lots, but that’s all I can manage given the computer situation here. I’m in Bellingham with no wireless connection and no camera so I’ll be posting sporadically. Lots of knitting to report on and hopefully a get together with Dorothy.

Li, great wedding. I miss the baby and having 17 people around at all times to chat with, hike with or laugh with.

Another appliance? What’s with all your appliances? I would get someone in to get rid of those gremlins.

Oh my goodness….your life sounds like mine….if it CAN happen it WILL happen!! I can NOT imagine all that you went through…Bless Your Heart!!! You have surely earned extra stars for your crown!! I’m seeing a remake of “Father of the Bride”….yep…I can just SEE Steve Martin handling the “skunk scene and the DW scene”!! LOL!! On a serious note I pray that your family members unable to attend are doing better at this time and I hope that you enjoy your trip….sounds like you deserve it in the worst way!!! Happy Knitting and restoring yourself!!!! Looking forward to all that you knit up this next week!

Well the highlights sounds wonderful, the bad aspects, oh no not another skunk attack, I think a skunk hunt is in order.
Hope all goes well from here on out with the skunk. Can you tell I’m a little concerned about the skunk.

The wedding looks like it was beautiful!
Regarding skunk smell… my dad, whose dogs really enjoy chasing skunks, swears by Febreeze to get rid of skunk smell.
