Life's a Stitch

And more recently life’s a creative adventure with some travel thrown in.

Genes are strong little buggers. It’s been interesting with my SIL at my house, seeing the similarities between her, my husband and other family members. Chuck and his sister are both "category eaters". They eat all their veggies, move onto the meat, and then their potatoes. Come to think of it, this trait has been passed on to one of our children. We discussed the eating habits of other family members. There is one who mixes all his food together noting that it all goes to the same place anyhow. And another of my children would rather eat from separate dishes than have his food touch. If the "category" people were knitters I bet they would be one of those who finishes one project before starting another.

Here is one of my four five six current projects. I’d better post before I remember any more. You can tell where I stand on this subject.

Did those “category eaters” get those “divided dishes” when they were babies/children? Chinet makes a good disposable one for them 😉

Interesting! Another foible – do you put on both socks and then shoes, or finish off one foot before moving on to the other? I wonder if that’s genetic too? I should do a survey. The lace is looking beautiful!

So very pretty. I tend to have a lot of projects going myself. I try not to, but it just doesn’t seem possible.

I think I must be one of those “category eaters” Since I don’t like those “all you can eat: places ( I am having a major brain cramp, can’t think of the word for it) . I do not like my food touching other food! I know it all goes to the same place but I do like to have it all go down one at a time.

We have category eaters in our family too. I prefer my food not to touch but then like to combine little bits of different foods on the same forkful to make the perfect bite. A little bit of sauerkrat with a touch of mashed potatoes and a tiny piece of kielbasa at the end. Perfect! But please don’t let the sauerkraut and potatoes touch on my plate.

I’m a category eater for the most part, but I usually start with whatever I like least (such as broccoli) and save what I like best for last. I’m also a knitter who really prefers to finish a project before starting another. Someone above asked about putting on shoes and socks. I put on both socks before putting on my shoes. Am I weird?

I would be the category eater of the family and also the one child to inherit most of the “Boesen” traits. About the shoes and socks…I’ve never met anyone who finishes one foot first!
