Life's a Stitch

And more recently life’s a creative adventure with some travel thrown in.

You know how when things are just not right with your life, they’re just not right with your knitting? And you know how what you are thinking gets tangled up with what you’re knitting? How each piece of knitting is affected by what you were feeling at the time?

Or how the knitting decisions you make are determined by the circumstances of life?

Dsc01601Something’s bothering me. So, in an attempt to control what’s uncontrollable in my life, I frogged something that has provided me with ongoing frustration. Now I have the opportunity for a do-over. Too bad you can’t do that with kids.

Do-overs are good. And don’t have to be done-over right away. Another bonus. Good for you – I hope things come out right in non-knitting stuff too.

That is true, whatever we screw up with our kids is there forever. Lovely Marina going there. For a minute I thought that’s what you ripped!!!
Can’t wait to see the woven scarf, how fun!

It must be the January blahs, but I’ve been wishing for a do-over for too many things lately. Good (?) to know I’m not alone. I hope your non-knitting do-over issues get back on track.
PS-Thanks for the heads up about the 32 Books sale. I pick up some Noro on the weekend.

Maybe that’s why we like knitting so much – at least we have the illusion of control over it! I’m a big fan of frogging something that causes nothing but frustration. You go girl!

I have a hard time deciding sometimes when to rip something but then once I do
I am usually glad I did.
I hope things get better for you real soon!

See, we only make mistakes…and we have so many ooportunities in life for do-overs. So many of us get hung up on guilt over the past..wishing we could do something over again. Well, the good news is we can! Knitting or life…
