This is the cause:

This is the effect after pushing the innards of a 25 lb fish down the garbage disposal:

Now for the math lesson: 25lbs of salmon = $10 of Drano + $26 pizza dinner on paper plates + $160(!) Roto Rooter bill. Aggravation level = priceless.

Moving on to English class, today’s lesson is literature: Do you know the story of Henry’s Awful Mistake? Condensed version: Henry the duck invites ducky cousin Clara for dinner. While he prepares the food he spots an ant in the kitchen. While trying to kill the ant he puts a hole in the wall, breaks the pipes, floods the house etc… We sometimes call Chuck, Henry.

I know, I know, put on your big girl panties and deal with it. Can I knit instead and ignore the whole darn mess?

Don’t forget to add to the math: the great adventure of the “catch”, the incredible joy on your fisherman’s face, and the future taste of those gourmet meals…priceless.

Oh yuk! But your fisherman does look very, very happy. At least before the Roto Rooter bill!

Li, What a fish story!!!It is priceless, rather costly!!!We had The American Drain Co. here to do some rotorootering. It cost us $350.00.
My colleague and I toured a 6800 square foot house with a builder friend and his wife. We met him months ago and have been there four times to watch the house go up and to get it as a listing. We think his family will live there for a year and then sell it. What a house. It has five fireplaces….well you have what four. Anyway, The kitchen was huge with two large center aisles and two dishwashers, and was the whole width of the house. He is a very nice down to earth guy and now that we pass the house while going to open houses he is becoming a friend. The basement is incredible and is a walkout and must be about 2400 square feet. It too has a fireplace.

I can definitely understand the aggravation, (similar event at my house with 2- 15lb striped bass). Your fisherman looks quite happy with his prize catch…

This is the kind of experience where you may be aggravated now but will definitely always remember and laugh about later. Ah, Life!

Deja vu–Friday– I spent most of the day with a plumbing problem at the kitchen sink–I tried to fix it myself in the morning, running to Home Depot for something to put down the drain & a stupid plastic thingy that I tried fishing down to unplug–nothing worked….called plumber, waited & waited & waited for him to make the repair–he arrived in his time & a half cost…he got under the sink, found a little butter knife in the drain…$127.57. I still haven’t put everything back under the sink yet & it’s almost Sunday. At least you have something caught in the drain better than what I had…you got a meal out of yours.

Hmmm you sure your husband isn’t related to my husband? Was the pizza at least good? 😉
