Just a quick one – my ultrasound came out fine – two teensy cysts (about the width of a US size 2 knitting needle) were what was originally picked up by the mammogram. It’s amazing what they can see. I can relate anything to knitting! And I’m awaiting knee surgery. More knitting tomorrow.

For the flower basket, I thought that I would need 2 skeins of the Kiwi for the trellis, but it seems that 3 is more realistic. The pattern calls for 240 yards of the original yarn, but I guess that the conversion is not equal when you choose the Bulky.
Also, I am knitting a slightly smaller version of the bag than the pattern is writen for. I followed the pattern exactly, except with only one strand of Bulky and on size 13 needles. I hate working with those gigangtic 19s.

Went to 11 open houses today. One house was a 6 bedroom 1865 Victorian that had gorgeous hand painted scenes on many of the walls. She was an artist and did fairy tale type of stuff. She even painted leaves on the stair risers.
Also went in a neat stone houses with exposed beams and stone pool, etc.

I’m so glad to hear that your ultrasound results came out so well!! I just found some droppings and a small hole in the bottom of the dog food bag, so it looks like I’ve got a mouse problem too. I’ve been worried about finding a dead mouse in the big bag of dog food and your story did nothing to soothe my fears! 🙂
