Life's a Stitch

And more recently life’s a creative adventure with some travel thrown in.

That’s right, listen up, Vancouver knitters, Koigu is FINALLY coming to us! I was at my knit night at Knit and Stitch in West Van, and Inge, the owner, proudly told me after all my pleading to stock it, the owners of Koigu paid her a surprise visit. Initially they told her they weren’t taking on new clients, but after ten minutes in Inge’s fantastic shop, they gave her a credit application. The Koigu is on its way!

By the way, Inge’s motto is "Knitting forever, housework whenever." Keeping that in mind, here is a finished Granbia scarf:

The scarf is even more stunning than I had imagined it would be. I’m totally loving how the colors just fade into each other – it looks like pink clouds, or cotton candy. Beautiful!

Hi! I’m a fellow Vancouverite (a few bridges away in Kits) knitting blogger whose been reading your journal. I figured I should stop and introduce myself instead of lurking in your archives like a stranger.
Also, I have never made the bus/Seabus/bus journey out to Knit and Stitch, but I will when they get Koigu! Please blog about it when it gets there.
    Thanks!

That is one of the most beautiful multidirectional scarves I’ve ever seen! Wow, is all I can say!
